Example checkDeliverable

ana@acme.co

  • Address looks right
  • Company receives mail
  • Inbox responds
  • Not a catch-all domain

This address looks safe to keep on your list.

Four checks on every address

The checks run in order. If an address fails one, MailQ stops there and tells you why.

  1. 1

    Format

    Catches typos and malformed addresses, like a missing @ or a domain without a dot.

  2. 2

    Domain and mail servers

    Looks up the domain's MX records. No mail servers means no mail can be delivered.

  3. 3

    Mailbox

    Connects to the domain's mail server and asks whether the mailbox exists. Up to three servers are tried. Nothing is sent.

  4. 4

    Catch-all test

    Asks about a random address on the same domain. If that's accepted too, the domain takes everything and the result is marked Risky.

Every result also tells you whether the domain belongs to a known disposable email provider.

Three clear verdicts

No confidence scores to interpret. Each result tells you what to do with the address.

Deliverable
The mail server confirmed the mailbox exists and rejected a made-up address on the same domain.
Send with confidence.
Risky
The domain accepts every address, or its server wouldn't give a clear answer. iCloud, Outlook and Yahoo often block these checks, so Risky doesn't mean invalid.
Keep it, but watch for bounces and low engagement.
Undeliverable
The format is wrong, the domain has no mail servers, or the server rejected the mailbox.
Remove it from your list.

Where teams use MailQ

Before a campaign

Paste a list into bulk verification and drop undeliverable addresses before they bounce and hurt your sender reputation.

At signup

Spot throwaway addresses from disposable email providers before they fill your user base.

Inside your own tools

Send lists from your CRM, forms or scripts to the verification API and store the verdict next to each contact.

Verify from your own code

Pro includes an API key for the bulk verification endpoint. Send a JSON list of addresses and get the same detailed result you see in the web app.

  • One POST request, JSON in and out
  • Pass your key in the x-api-key header
  • Regenerate or revoke your key at any time
Get an API key
curl -X POST https://mailq.isrv.dev/api/bulk-verify-email \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -d '{
    "emailList": [
      "ana@acme-outfitters.com",
      "jon@brightpathh.io"
    ]
